Easy Events, Baby Card

Easy Events is another retiring stamp set. I'm feeling a little guilty for not giving this set a little more attention; it has great potential! Along with Easy Events, we will be saying good-bye to the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, and the Two Tags die.

I did some paper piecing on this card. I love how the umbrella coordinates with the background paper, and the little duck is so fun and bright! Paper piecing can be a little tedious, but the effect is awesome!

For the paper piecing technique, first stamp the image onto your project. Then stamp the image onto other pieces of card stock or Designer Series Paper, that you want to piece into your project, cut them out, and adhere them onto your finished layer.

For this card I paper pieced Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Very Vanilla, and Print Poetry DSP. For the umbrella, I stamped the image onto the backside of the patterned paper, so the details of the umbrella wouldn't show. I cut out each piece separately and the pieces together, like a puzzle.
