Decorating For Halloween

I'm feeling a little pressure to get my Halloween decor finished and ready to put up! At the same time, I'm so excited!! Last night I covered some books with retired Halloween Designer Series Paper, and I'm so happy with the way they turned out. They are going to look so good on my display table in my house.

This DSP is called Pick Your Poison, and it's still available on the Clearance Rack for only $4.39! Pick Your Poison is one of my favorite Halloween papers that I've seen in the past few years.

I also made a Halloween card to share with you and The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop, using the Toxic Treats stamp set.

Stamps: Toxic Treats
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black, and Whisper white card stock. Getting Started, Brights and Neutrals Collection DSP.
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Bright Buttons, Baker's Twine

Snow Swirled

Snow Swirled is a holiday set I very much loved when it came out. Sometimes it's hard to take out the old sets when you want to play with new stuff. Just like it's a good idea to cycle toys for kids, sometimes it's good to cycle your stamp sets!

This color combo is this week's challenge over at Pink Paper Bakery.

Stamp Set: Snow Swirled
Paper: Basic Gray, Island Indigo, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, and Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo; Pool Party and Lucky Limeade Stampin' Write Markers
Accessories: Scallop Trim Border Punch, White Taffeta Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Stampin' Dimensionals

Spooky Bingo Bits Pennant

Pennants scream party! I've been dying to have a Halloween party for my kids for several years. There is one small problem...they are nearly grown up, so when I ask them if they would like to have friends over, they look at me like I have a third eyeball.

Now, instead of entertaining kids, I just try to entertain myself with Halloween projects. Fortunately, I never run out of ideas, and this year I've found the Great Pumpkin Blog Hop! I thought this would be a cute card to mail to my nephews, along with a few treats.

Ingredients:

Stamp Sets: Spooky Bingo Bits and Toxic Treats (sentiment)
Card Stock: Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine, Stampin' Dimensionals

Color Inspiration

I love that bright colors are being carried over from summer to fall this year! Tangerine Tango has been named the hottest color for 2012. Who can resist a pop of color like this?! I found this great photo and used it for color inspiration for a couple of cards.

Unfortunately, I didn't capture the brightness of the colors in my cards with these photos.

Stamp Sets: Mixed Bunch and Fabulous Phrases
Paper: Basic Gray, Gumball Green, Tangerine Tango, and Whisper
White card stock; Tangerine Tango DSP from the Brights Collection Paper Stack.
Ink: Tangerine Tango and Basic Gray
Accessories and Tools: Gumball Green Ribbon (free ribbon this month with a $40 purchase!),
Blossom Punch, 3/4" circle punch,
Stamp-a-ma-jig, and Stampin' Dimensionals.

Stamp Sets: Betsy's Blossoms and Curly Cute
Paper: Tangerine Tango, Basic Gray, and Whisper White
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Gumball Green, Basic Gray
Accessories: Stampin' Dimensionals
